Yuri's Bio
Hey! My name is Yuri, and I am so pumped to be the newest member of the Illinois Blogging Family.
Choosing the right college or university is not an easy task and it should definitely be taken seriously. So I am glad you are taking advantage of this opportunity to hear what the U of I is all about from your peers.
The University of Illinois is one of the best public universities in the nation and my experience here has been exceptional. My two older sisters graduated from the U of I College of Business. They found the tools necessary for success at Illinois and beyond and I hoped the same formula would work for me. And thankfully, I made the right choice.
I have participated in many thought-provoking classes, learned from passionate professors, created great friendships, and taken major steps toward learning more about who I really am. Now, I’m a junior studying news-editorial journalism in the College of Communications, and though my family Illinois legacy led me here, my U of I experience has been and continues to be completely my own.
It is a bitter-sweet time for me. I am saying hello and asking you to join my journey as I am saying farewell to Champaign-Urbana. During the 2008 spring semester, I will be studying abroad in Copenhagen.
I will be sharing my experiences and thoughts during my time abroad through journal posts, videos, and photos. If you are interested in studying abroad or just want to keep up with my life, I hope to inform and entertain.
Feel free to comment and ask me questions about anything I post, whether it is about studying abroad or life at Illinois. I am here to be just another source of information about Illinois. I love to talk/write and listen/read, so do not be shy.
