New Student Programs's Bio

New Student Programs is here to help you in your successful transition to the university. The New Student Programs staff will assist you as you begin your transition to campus life.

This summer you will attend a one-day registration program to begin your academic transition. At registration you will meet other students admitted to your college, learn about University and College expectations and meet with an academic advisor to register for your fall class schedule.

Welcome Week will begin your transition to on-campus life. You will move into your campus housing unit; you will be officially welcomed to the University community, learn the alma mater and recieve your first Illinois t-shirt at convocation; you will learn about over 600 student organizations at quad day; and you will participate in the Illini Union Late Nighter, Campus Rec Block Party and the I-Celebrate Taste of Nevada Street and the many other opportunities available to you upon your arrival to campus in the fall.
