Assembly Hall
Assembly Hall's Bio
Assembly Hall is a fabulous asset to Illinois. It literally comes alive after dark, with its great, white dome glowing in the night sky, the brightness within symbolic of the superstars who perform under its unique roof.
Students have access to hot shows and Fighting Illini basketball right here on campus. Performers and events hosted at Assembly Hall include musicians like Carrie Underwood, Death Cab for Cutie, and T.I. and the annual Broadway series, including "The Pajama Game" and “Chicago.”
The Assembly Hall continues to attract attention for its design and construction. The architect was Max Abramovitz, a distinguished University of Illinois alumnus. His firm also designed the United Nations Buildings, much of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the University of Illinois Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.
You will get world-class entertainment at Illinois.
