Trisha's Bio

My name is Trisha and I am a sophomore in the College of Business, majoring in Accountancy and Finance. Initially, the University of Illinois was not my first choice in terms of college, but upon arriving I immediately found that there are opportunities available that provide for everyone to fit in quite easily! That, I feel, is unique to our school, and I have found many ways to take advantage of what the University of Illinois has to offer.

Although I did not feel this way at first, a large part of my goal for this blog involves making sure that other prospective students keep their minds open to all possibilities. The University of Illinois can be a means for you to succeed infinitely, and hopefully I will help you to see that!

If you have an interest, there is probably an organization catered to it. With hundreds of Registered Student Organizations, there is a place for everybody. I am an active member of Phi Gamma Nu Professional Business Fraternity, part of the Business Honors program, a James Scholar, am employed in the College of Business with admissions, and dance with the Ghungroo Dance Company, an Indian fusion dance group. I am also a member of The Firm: Consulting.

However, this semester I am studying abroad in Hong Kong, just one of the many locations students can choose. In my blog I will show, through stories, pictures, and video, just how amazing life can be as a student at the University of Illinois, both on and off campus. Keep reading, for my adventures from day to day may be exactly what you're looking for in a school!
