Illinois Admissions

Admissions Counselor

Veronica's Bio

Hey there beautiful people,

My name is Veronica, and I am an admissions counselor. I was born and raised in Central Illinois, and I LOVE admissions and recruitment! I came to the University of Illinois in the fall of 2012 and have thoroughly enjoyed working with prospective and incoming Illinois students.

My favorite part of being an admissions counselor is having the opportunity to speak with prospective students and their families as they navigate through the college search process (it’s an exciting time, but it can also be stressful). My goal is to provide students with the information and resources necessary to make an educated choice about attending Illinois.

^^^^ Boring, I know …

What you want to know is that this blog is going to be jam-packed with some great information about the application and admission process, Champaign-Urbana, and obviously myself and my traveling adventures. You don’t know it yet, but I am fascinating, which answers the next question of “Why should I read this blog?”

The answer is simple. I have tons of great information, tips, and stories. I hang out in C-U; I travel to San Francisco and Seattle (where I consume copious amounts of soy lattes and seafood). I miss flights, talk to students, respond to thousands of emails, eat weird food, hang out with other admission counselors, and learn about the world. You can read all about it here—and if you want to know more about admissions, Illinois, and/or C-U, please ask!
