What’s something you wish you knew as an undergrad that you know now?
Study abroad. Not many careers allow you to spend a year in another country.
How would you describe Illinois students?
They’re involved. They want to make a difference in the world, and they take every opportunity to do so.
What’s the best piece of advice someone has ever given you?
If you don’t change, you can’t grow.
What would you like for parents to know about their child going off to college?
You’ve done your job for the past 18 years—it’s time for the student to take over.
What’s your advice on coping with rejection?
There’s a reason for the rejection. Either work on it or redirect yourself.
What’s your favorite place to eat on campus?
The Bread Company!
