Sign Up for an Admitted Transfer Day!

Congratulations on your admission to Illinois as a transfer student. We are very excited for you to begin the next step of your college journey with us!

Now that you’ve been admitted, it’s time for you to get to know more about your new university, college, and major. The best way to do that is by attending an Admitted Transfer Day. These programs are designed specifically for you!

Admitted Transfer Days will include an overview of the university, as well as presentations from New Student Programs and Financial Aid. You will have the chance to ask current students questions about their experiences at Illinois. You will also attend a meeting with representatives from your college so that you can get to know more about what to expect in the next couple of years. There will also be an information fair where you can learn more about campus resources and campus tours.

Admitted Transfer Days will be held on Friday, March 17, and Thursday, April 13. You can review the events to see which program your college will be participating in.

And if you’re wondering how to register, just keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll be sending out email invites to all admitted transfer students very soon.

You’ve gotten through the hard part of applying, now come spend some time with us so can you become acclimated to your new home!

I hope you will join us. I am excited to meet you all!

I have already signed up for an Admitted Student Visit. Is there much of a difference between the two events? Will I miss out on anything important if I attend the admitted student day instead? Thanks.

Hi Rachel! Admitted Student visits are designed for incoming freshman students. The Admitted Transfer Days are for admitted transfer students. We provide specific information relevant to transfer students to assist in the transition process from your previous institution.

Hi Casey

A few weeks ago I attended a transfer seminar which included a tour and I met with Lori Davis, toured the dorm I am now accepted in. Does this upcoming transfer accepted meeting cover additional information that the previous seminar a few weeks ago did not cover?

Hi, I am about to attend this Transfer Student day, and I realized I have no idea where I am supposed to park. Would you mind letting me know?

Hi Michael

The Admitted Transfer Day includes information specifically for admitted students, including a presentation from New Student Programs and Financial Aid. There will also be a meeting with your college to learn more about your department and program. The visit will also include an Information Fair with various campus departments.

It was easier for me to attend a new student program, however, there was no discussion on placement exams such as language and or math and picking classes. Will that information be emailed to us at some point?

Hi Armani,

You can access information about Placement Tests through your Admitted Student Checklist. Under the Placement Test section, there is a link that will direct you to the website, which walks you through which placement tests you would need to take.
