Babies+Brunch: Eating at Prairie Fruits Farm and Creamery

Every Saturday and Sunday from April 7th to May 12th, Prairie Fruits Farm and Creamery hosts Babies+Brunch, an experience to eat in a true farm-to-table setting. Not only do patrons have a chance to play with baby goats, but they also get to sample fresh made cheeses and gelato before their meal.

Fair warning: you have to be adventurous to give this place a try! With no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, your typical eggs and bacon may taste a bit different than usual.

This past weekend, my roommate took me to Prairie Fruits for Sunday brunch, and it was delicious! I ordered a greens salad with eggs and house made cheese, and Garren ordered bacon and eggs. Our food was fresh, tasty, and filling. We also ordered coffee with goat milk, and tasted goat milk hot chocolate (which was the best hot chocolate I have ever had).

I would highly recommend visiting the farm for summer peach picking, brunch, or dinner. It is truly off the beaten path, and it makes Champaign-Urbana feel like home away from home.
