Campus Rec Celebrates America Recycles Day

So we all know going green has become increasingly popular with our generation, and people are finding a million and one ways to show their support for an eco-friendly planet. As an employee of Campus Rec, I know I may be a bit biased, but I think Campus Rec has taken the initiative and really shown their support for going green. The faucets and even toilets use less water, the lights in some areas are censored, and now there are stickers by every light switch in the ARC and CRCE to remind you to turn off the lights when they are not in use.

Their latest effort to go green is in celebration of the 11th annual America Recycles Day.

America Recycles Day is the ONLY nationally recognized day to renew recycling efforts nationwide.

Although America Recycles Day is originally on Saturday, Campus Rec thought it would be best to celebrate during the week when more students are on campus. On Thursday, November 12th, from 3-6pm, you can come in and recycle your plastic water bottle and receive a NEW environmentally-friendly water bottle!

So you are saving money and helping the environment! So come in on Thursday and do your part. See you there.
