Resources for Signing Up for Classes
Spring 2010 will officially be my last semester as an undergraduate student at Illinois. I just finished choosing my classes for spring semester, and it was easy. Illinois has an online application called Enterprise, that all students can access by using their NetID, and it makes registering for classes really fast and relatively painless.
Once you log in, Enterprise can also be used to check your Student Account and Billing Information, and you can even monitor your Financial Aid and graduation information. I use Enterprise every week to log my work hours for Campus Recreation and the Office of Communications for Enrollment Management, since I’m a University employee.
Another useful tool for choosing my classes for next semester was my advisor, John Jennings. I met with him earlier this week to go over my DARS Audit, an unofficial progress report documenting all the classes I’ve taken for credit. John helped me petition to get credit for a class in a required field for my graduation. He also made some suggestions for elective classes that might suit my interests.
Between my advisor and the numerous resources available at Illinois.edu, picking my last semester of classes was a breeze, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Hi J.B.
I don’t believe the University has a specific affiliation with any laptop manufacturer. If your daughter becomes an Illinois student, she can receive significant student discounts at the University WebStore on hardware and software (see link below).
Also, you might want to consider what major she plans on pursuing. As a graphic design student, we were required to purchase Mac laptops, whereas other majors might have different expectations. I hope this helps.
Good Luck!

Hello,
I have a question. I probably will tranfer to UIUC next Fall 2010. I’m an international student so the tuition is pretty high (31000 dollars per year) so I will really need an on-campus job since I can’t work outside of school anyway.
I want to know how hard it is to find a job on-campus and what are the requirements for students to be employed?
Thank you so much
Nga

My daughter will (hopefully) be attending University of Illinois in Fall 2010. We would like to get her a laptop for Christmas. Would you know what type(s) is used at University of Illinois? Is there a preferred type of laptop? Thanks!
