Another Student Resource: the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Store

Recently, our apartment’s wireless internet hasn’t been quite up to par. And my diplomatic and not-so-diplomatic conversations with our apartment’s internet service provider/wireless router provider haven’t proven to be much help.

Finally, my roommates, both familiar with the engineering side of campus, suggested I walk the block and a half from Everitt Hall to the ECE Store to pick up an ethernet cord to plug in and bypass the wireless router completely.

How did I not know about this store – available to ALL U of I students – sooner?!

The ECE store definitely has everything every electrical and computer engineer will need for labs and projects, but they have a nice range of practical stuff (power, ethernet, video cords) for setting up your dorm and apartment too and for CHEAP.

Keep this convenient hole-in-the-wall in mind, and it might just save you a few bucks and a bus/car trip to Best Buy once or twice!
