My last post!
So I can’t believe it is here – my last post for admissions and for my undergrad experience here at Illinois.
Starting in August, I will be attending the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern.
My experience at Illinois leaves me feeling more than ready to tackle the challenge of medical school and a whole lifetime of learning. I am SO excited to start!
I have changed so much over the past four years… more than any other time in my life.
With class struggles steadily increasing, I have learned what I am capable of academically. With this awareness comes the confidence in tackling the medical school course load head on.
Through my experiences at Illinois I have learned where my strengths lie.
I also learned the areas I am not strong in, and learned to accept that and focus on what I am good at…
I have learned that this growth of myself could have only been possible because I was always willing to push myself a little bit further.
I was willing to go to that group meeting my myself and make new friends.
I was willing to be the only student volunteer for an organization.
I was willing to try challenging things when I had a chance of failing, and Illinois gave me plenty of opportunities to do that! 😉 In a good way!!!
As I go on to medical school, I will continue to push myself so I am able to become the best physician possible for my patients.
Still, I will always have Illinois to thank for teaching me the most important thing of all – to believe in myself.
