Class of 2018

College of Media

Daniel's Bio

Hey, I’m Daniel!

I’m a sophomore Advertising major in the College of Media here at Illinois. I’m from a northwest suburb of Chicago called Buffalo Grove. I decided to be an Advertising major because it enables me to be creative and it combines the aspects of psychology, media, and business. After graduation, I’m hoping to work at an ad agency in Chicago and make my dent in the media universe.

I chose Illinois because it was the first university in the entire world to offer an Advertising major, which is pretty cool! Also, the university has a ton of clubs and activities where I can get involved out of the classroom with my major. Of course, the Illinois network is one of the largest in the country, and years down the road I won’t have to look too far for an answer when I yell “I-L-L!”

Outside of the classroom, I’m involved in the American Advertising Federation, Pi Kappa Phi social fraternity, and The Black Sheep, U of I’s satirical newspaper. In my free time, you can find me at the gym playing basketball, binge watching Netflix, and listening to Hip-Hop music.

No day is the same here at Illinois, and the 40,000+ students help make the college experience great. I’m looking forward to sharing my new experiences with all of you! Feel free to comment below if you have any questions.
