Lydia's Bio

Hello, friends!

I am Lydia, and I major in Instrumental Music Education within the College of Fine + Applied Arts. Before moving to Urbana, IL, I lived in Collinsville, IL, where we are known for some killer Italian food and the World’s Largest Catsup Bottle.

While at high school, I was involved in many activities, honors societies, and lots of music-related groups. You could always find me doing homework in the band room or out on the practice field conducting the marching band.

Most of my posts will be about my day-to-day life, living with a roommate, juggling a lot of credit hours, practicing my euphonium, and performing with the Nation’s Premier College Marching Band, the Marching Illini.

I hope everyone enjoys taking the time to read my blog posts, and I sincerely hope they provide true insight as to what the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is like as a busy college student.

I am immensely thankful for the chance to attend UIUC and experience all it has to offer. I hope that I represent the class of 2021 well!

Thank you for reading, and I-L-L!
