Nisha's Bio

Hi everyone, I’m Nisha!

I am a freshman, majoring in Psychology on the Pre-Med track.

Since the first time I visited Illinois, I’ve known that this was the school for me. So, when the “big envelope” arrived at my house, I knew my life was going to change for the better. I committed the very next day, and haven’t had a single doubt in my mind about my decision.

Before coming to The University of Illinois, I went to a high school with roughly 1,000 students. Although I was intimidated, I was more excited to make the transition to a larger University! U of I stuck out to me, not only because of the absolutely gorgeous campus and outstanding academics, but because of the chances students are given. The diverse aura on campus just gives a feeling of “home” and I felt so welcome, even when I visited for the first time.

As an incoming freshman, I hope my blog posts about moving in, transitioning to a large university, and how I found my place in such a large area, etc. can inspire (and hopefully convince you) to join the Illinois family.

With all of this said, I would love to hear from you and answer any questions you might have about transitioning/choosing Illinois. I-L-L!!
