Handling the Constant Change of COVID-19

We’re living in a world right now where something changes every hour, quite literally. There are more unknowns than there are knowns, and we are being challenged, as college students, to somehow navigate these rocky waters every single day.

It may feel like we just can’t catch a break and the constant waves of disappointment never end. It seems like when we do everything right, there is still something that goes wrong. We have smiles on our faces everyday behind our masks but we really are feeling anxious because we don’t know what’s coming next. It really is like riding the waves. As we try and conquer this global pandemic together and overcome the abundance of fear, we feel a range of emotions we never desired to share. But we’re all here and not a single one of us has a clue how to navigate these rough waters.

I’ve found myself holding onto the saying that everything happens for a reason. I’m confident there is a light at the end of this, and I hope this can help you feel a little bit more at peace with everything. We are living in a global pandemic and it is a time we will remember for the rest of our lives. We’ve heard it for months, but it’s never been truer than right now. Being a member of this Illinois family will get us through anything.

We are in this together and we are stronger together!
