Thank you, Illinois!

This year, especially in the holiday season, I’ve found myself feeling a little more grateful for the great University that Illinois is. Coming into Illinois as a freshman, many people tell you what a true privilege it is to be here and how this campus is going to impact your life in ways you never thought possible.

Those people aren’t wrong. This place and this campus is one big family, where everyone is looking out for each other. It is a blessing to be here. I’ve noticed myself feeling more grateful to Illinois in the midst of this year and how we’ve handled everything as a University.

Living on a campus with tens of thousands of people everyday and feeling safer on campus than anywhere else in the surrounding areas says a lot about the University of Illinois, the people here, and how much they care about us as students and individuals. They have done everything in their power to keep us here, and to keep us as safe as we can be.

This year, I’m extra thankful for the University of Illinois in this time than ever before. Thank you, Illinois!
